The Young Farmers group in Clinton County was started in 2007. At a membership of approximately 20, we are already quite active locally.

America’s Second Harvest

America’s Second Harvest is the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the US. The mission is to feed hungry people by soliciting and distributing food and grocery products through a nationwide network of affiliate food banks and offer-rescue organizations, as well as to educate the public about the nature of and solutions for the problem of hunger in America. For every $1.00 received in donations, America’s Second Harvest distributes 28 pounds of food and groceries products through its national network. The Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc. Young Farmers committee has adopted America’s Second Harvest as one of their projects.

For more information about any of the Young Farmers activities, contact Janice Deno, District 3 Farm Bureau Representative, at (219) 866-2343.
